Missouri River at Waverly affecting Lafayette, Carroll and Saline Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at Boonville. * WHEN...Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Low-lying rural areas along the river flood. At 23.8 feet, Easley River Road and Smith Hatchery Road begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:04 PM CDT Monday the stage was 22.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 14.1 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
