Winter Weather Advisory issued April 18 at 3:53PM AKDT until April 19 at 8:00AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK * WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to six inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Reduced visibility down to one half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Eastern Aleutians. * WHEN...Until 8 AM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty north winds up to 50 mph will reduce visibility within falling snow down to one half mile or less at times. By this evening precipitation should transition to all snow and persist through the morning hours on Friday. Conditions ease Friday morning as winds diminish and warming daytime temperatures see any remaining snow begin to transition back to a rain/snow mix. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
