Heavy Rain Risk Area The monsoon through moves down to lie across the upper north and upper Loas into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain and isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the East and the South (west coast) regions. The rather strong wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, tropical depression over the middle of the South China Sea is forecast to intensify and expected to move through Hainan island and make landfall over the South of China during 4–6 July 2026 with no direct effect on Thailand. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore.
