For the Rio Grande...including Columbia Bridge, Laredo...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rio Grande at Laredo. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Wednesday evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 1.8 feet (0.5 meters). - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters). - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 11.9 feet (3.6 meters) this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet (2.4 meters). - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.9 feet (3.6 meters) on 09/26/2008. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
