Tornado Watch issued June 18 at 1:01PM CDT until June 18 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL TORNADO WATCH 351 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ALABAMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL ALABAMA BARBOUR BULLOCK DALLAS LOWNDES MACON MONTGOMERY PIKE RUSSELL THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF EUFAULA, FORT DEPOSIT, LOWNDESBORO, MONTGOMERY, PHENIX CITY, SELMA, TROY, TUSKEGEE, AND UNION SPRINGS.

Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 1:04PM CDT until June 18 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL Extremely heavy rainfall will move through the advisory area this afternoon creating dangerous driving conditions along with ponding of water in poor drainage locations. * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Barbour, Bullock and Pike. * WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1259 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to heavy rainfall. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will occur over the area in a short amount of time. This rain will result in minor flooding. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
