Delaware Bay... * Until 800 PM EDT. * At 656 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm southwest of Bowers Beach to near Slaughter Beach to near Rehoboth Beach, moving northeast at 50 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. * Locations impacted include... Fortesque Beach, Brown Shoal Light, Sea Breeze, Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Slaughter Beach, East Point, Bowers Beach, Cape May Point, Miah Maull Light, Brandywine Shoal Light, Cross Ledge Light, and Rehoboth Beach. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central and southern Delaware...southern New Jersey...and the adjacent coastal waters. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
