Flood Advisory issued June 4 at 3:19AM EDT until June 4 at 3:45AM EDT by NWS Miami FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Miami-Dade. * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 319 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Miami, Miami Beach, Virginia Key, Port Of Miami, Downtown Miami, Fisher Island and Marlins Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Rip Current Statement issued June 4 at 1:04AM EDT until June 5 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL * WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected. * WHERE...Coastal Broward County and Coastal Miami Dade County. * WHEN...From Thursday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
