Wind Advisory issued July 21 at 11:19AM EDT until July 22 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL * WHAT...South to southeast winds sustained at 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Coastal Franklin, Coastal Wakulla, and Coastal Gulf Counties. * WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued July 21 at 11:11AM EDT until July 22 at 2:00PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL * WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Coastal Franklin County. * WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM EDT Wednesday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding of coastal adjacent lots, parks, and roads. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Water levels will remain elevated into Wednesday. The next high tide on Wednesday morning is around 9 am EDT, which is when the highest water levels are expected along the Franklin County Coast. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
