Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Atlanta, McDonough, Fayetteville, Conyers, Covington, Jonesboro, City of South Fulton, Peachtree City, East Point, Stockbridge, Union City, Forest Park, Riverdale, College Park, Tyrone, Morrow, Lovejoy, Hapeville, Lake City, and Oxford. People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
