Perry County in south central Illinois... Jackson County in southern Illinois... Williamson County in southern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 726 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Carbondale, Marion, Herrin, Murphysboro, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Carterville, Johnston City, De Soto, Crainville, Cambria, Energy, Elkville, Hurst, Ava, Tamaroa, Pittsburg, Creal Springs, Cedar Lake Area and Lake Of Egypt Area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Flood Watch issued July 11 at 4:43AM CDT until July 12 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, western Kentucky, and southwest Indiana. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of rainfall are expected this afternoon and evening across portions of the area. An additional 0.75-2 inches of rain is possible. Should storms manage to train over areas that are already heavily saturated, flash flooding will be a concern. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
