Flood Warning issued June 21 at 7:51PM CDT until June 22 at 8:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Illinois, including the following counties, Clay, Crawford, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 751 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Olney, Robinson, Lawrenceville, Newton, Sumner, Bridgeport, Oblong, Louisville, Edgewood, Mason, Bible Grove, Flat Rock, Ste. Marie, Willow Hill, Sailor Springs, Russellville, Bogota, Olney Noble Airport, Chauncey and Lawrenceville Vincennes Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
