Flood Watch issued June 8 at 12:54PM CDT until June 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of west central Illinois, including the following area, Adams IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Audrain MO, Boone MO, Callaway MO, Cole MO, Marion MO, Moniteau MO, Monroe MO, Osage MO and Ralls MO. * WHEN...Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall will be possible, which could lead to flash flooding, especially if they occur over saturated soils. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 4:25PM CDT until June 8 at 7:30PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Adams County in west central Illinois... Northwestern Pike County in west central Illinois... * WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 425 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Quincy, Quincy Regional Airport, Barry, Payson, Fall Creek, Beverly, Adams, Kingston, Burton, Liberty, Hull, Richfield, New Canton, Plainville, Kinderhook, Columbus, El Dara, Seehorn and Marblehead. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
