Flood Warning issued July 1 at 9:54AM CDT until July 8 at 3:24AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY ...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Indiana... Patoka River near Princeton. .Moderate flooding continues along the Pakota River near Princeton, but now it is forecast to briefly rise into the Major flooding category. The new forecast crest is 23.6 feet, or 6 tenths of a foot into major, due to be reached tonight. It will fall back into moderate this weekend. For the Patoka River...including Princeton...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Patoka River near Princeton. * WHEN...Until Wednesday, July 8. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Flooding affects mainly farmland. Seasonal camping trailers closest to the river become inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 22.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.6 feet tonight.
