Wabash River at Montezuma...and at Hutsonville down to Riverton. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Terre Haute. .Multiple rounds of rainfall over the past week...totaling at least 2 to 4 inches...has lead to minor lowland flooding along the middle to lower Wabash River. The Wabash will continue to crest at Terre Haute this weekend, with the crest reaching Riverton on Tuesday. Flooding will end at Montezuma Monday...and at Riverton by the middle of the week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 17.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 AM EDT Saturday was 17.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Monday morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
