Special Weather Statement issued June 9 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Dodge City KS At 900 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ash Valley to near Belpre to near Mullinville. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Larned, Greensburg, Macksville, Zook, Fellsburg, and Trousdale around 905 PM CDT. Dillwyn around 915 PM CDT. Haviland, Radium, and Hopewell around 920 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include St. John, Seward, Byers and Wellsford. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for south central Kansas.
