Green River at Munfordville affecting Hart County. .Heavy rain from the past few days will cause the river to rise. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Green River at Munfordville. * WHEN...From late tonight to tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water enters city park under US 31W bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 24.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 29.2 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 28.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.5 feet on 02/06/2014. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
