Flood Watch issued May 17 at 2:17AM CDT until May 17 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Areas of moderate to heavy rain will expand east from southeast Missouri into southern Illinois and far western Kentucky through this morning. Training showers and storms will result in rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hours locally, and flash flooding may develop where this heavy rain occurs. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
