Flood Warning issued June 18 at 1:51PM EDT until June 18 at 7:45PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following counties, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Mercer and Woodford. * WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 149 PM EDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Multiple roads still closed with the Hickman Creek area experiencing the most flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 0.5 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lexington, Nicholasville, Fayette Mall, Dunbar High School, Veterans Park, Wilmore, Nealton, Jessamine, Catnip and Keene. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 500 PM EDT, Emergency management reported flooding in typical low-lying areas across the county. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
