Flood Warning issued June 2 at 9:43AM CDT until June 15 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana... Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge, West Feliciana and Pointe Coupee Parishes. For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN...Until Saturday, June 15. * IMPACTS...At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps and river bottom farm land will be under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 49.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 50.4 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, June 16. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
