Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 21 at 11:59PM EDT until July 22 at 12:30AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA At 1159 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Georgetown to Gumboro to near Westover, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. These severe storms will be near... Princess Anne and University Of Maryland Eastern Shore around 1205 AM EDT. Berlin, Newark, and Ocean Pines around 1210 AM EDT. Snow Hill around 1215 AM EDT. Ocean City and Cape Isle Of Wight around 1220 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Bishop, Ocean City Municipality, Trinity, Eden, Longridge, Cedartown, Chesapeake Heights, Pittsville, Powellville, and Showell. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Flood Watch issued July 21 at 10:02PM EDT until July 22 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Maryland, including the following areas, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset and Wicomico. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread late tonight and early Wednesday morning ahead of a slow moving cold front. This front is expected to stall across the region Wednesday with additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected Wednesday afternoon.
