Flood Warning issued July 10 at 8:16PM CDT until July 11 at 4:15AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Southeastern Crawford County in east central Missouri... Southern Washington County in east central Missouri... Iron County in southeastern Missouri... Northeastern Reynolds County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 816 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 6 and 11 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Viburnum, Annapolis, Glover, Oates, Bixby, Lesterville, Black, Hogan, Chloride and Sabula. - This includes the following State Parks... Johnsons Shut-Ins State Park and Taum Sauk Mountain State Park. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Flood Watch issued July 10 at 11:20AM CDT until July 11 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Illinois, including the following area, Randolph IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Crawford MO, Iron MO, Madison MO, Reynolds MO, Saint Francois MO, Sainte Genevieve MO and Washington MO. * WHEN...Through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast through the day on Saturday. Any storm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall. The biggest concern for additional flash flooding is in areas that saw the most rain last night into early this morning. Up to 6-12+" of rain fell in a northwest to southeast axis from southern Crawford through northeast Reynolds, western and southern Iron, and southwest Madison counties. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
