At 19.0 feet, Farmland and secondary roads in the Chariton River floodplain are under water. At 20.0 feet, State Highway 129 is overtopped by flood waters 8 miles north of Salisbury. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 21.6 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 22.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 6.3 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will rise to 6.4 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall to 3.0 feet early Tuesday afternoon.
