HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include... Lumberton, Elizabethtown, Bladenboro, Boardman, Smiths, Bladen Community College, Abbottsburg, Lisbon, Butters, Hestertown, Lagoon, Evergreen, Clarkton, White Lake, Dublin, Orrum, and Bladen County Hospital. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Please send your reports of hail or wind damage, including trees or large limbs downed, by calling the National Weather Service office in Wilmington at 1 800 697 3901.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Allow outside pets and livestock plenty of fresh drinking water and a well ventilated and shaded location.
