Extreme Heat Warning issued June 30 at 11:41PM EDT until July 2 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values around 105. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Fog
Special Weather Statement issued July 1 at 5:06AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH The combination of saturated low levels and calm winds is resulting in some patchy dense fog early this morning. Fog is certainly worse near the river valleys, but OHGO cameras do show some impacts to roadways. Rapidly changing visibilities will be possible through the early morning hours before the fog lifts shortly after daybreak. If you are driving and encounter fog, use your low beam headlights and leave extra space between vehicles.
