Flash Flood Warning issued June 18 at 3:18AM EDT until June 18 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH At 318 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Cincinnati, Covington, Florence, Norwood, Erlanger, Fort Thomas, Newport, Reading, North College Hill, Madeira, Edgewood, Wyoming, Cheviot, Fort Mitchell, Villa Hills, Highland Heights, Milford, Taylor Mill, Bellevue and Deer Park. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flood Watch issued June 18 at 3:21AM EDT until June 18 at 10:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following counties, in southeast Indiana, Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland, the following counties, in northern Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
