Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 25 at 8:33PM CDT until June 25 at 9:15PM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 832 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles northwest of Sayre to near Erick, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 825 PM CDT, quarter size hail was reported just northwest of Erick. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Elk City, Sayre, Erick, Carter, Sweetwater, Texola, Delhi, Retrop, and Berlin. A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
