Leedey, OK Weather Warnings

Special Weather Statement issued June 3 at 5:40PM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 540 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles south of Sitka to near Leedey. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Woodward, Buffalo, Taloga, Mooreland, Vici, Leedey, Fort Supply, Freedom, Camargo, Sharon, Mutual, Putnam, Alabaster Caverns State Park, Selman, Quinlan, Moorewood, Cestos, Tangier, and Camp Houston. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
