Flash Flood Warning issued June 6 at 2:40PM CDT until June 6 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK At 240 PM CDT, the public reported roadway flooding resulting from thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Roadway flooding has been observed 5 miles west of Sand Springs. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tulsa... Sand Springs... Sapulpa... Mannford... Keystone State Park... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

In northeast Oklahoma, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Northeast Osage, Nowata, Okmulgee, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Southeast Osage, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington and Western Osage. * WHEN...From Sunday morning through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread showers with embedded thunderstorms are expected Sunday, with areas of heavy rainfall likely.
