Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 3:11AM CDT until June 6 at 5:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of central, southern, and southwest Oklahoma, including the following counties, in central Oklahoma, Grady. In southern Oklahoma, Stephens. In southwest Oklahoma, Caddo and Comanche. * WHEN...Until 530 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 310 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Eastern Lawton, Chickasha, Elgin, Rush Springs, Fletcher, Cyril, Sterling, Verden, Cement, Norge, Agawam, eastern Fort Sill, Central High, Ninnekah, Acme and Laverty. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
