Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 22 at 12:20PM CDT until June 22 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 374 IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TENNESSEE THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE BEDFORD COFFEE GILES GRUNDY LAWRENCE MARSHALL WAYNE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALTAMONT, CLIFTON, COALMONT, COLLINWOOD, LAWRENCEBURG, LEWISBURG, MANCHESTER, PALMER, PULASKI, SHELBYVILLE, TULLAHOMA, AND WAYNESBORO.

Flood Advisory issued June 22 at 12:07PM CDT until June 22 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Lawrence and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1207 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lawrenceburg, Waynesboro, Loretto, Collinwood, Summertown, Clifton, St. Joseph, Ethridge, Westpoint, Iron City, Leoma, Henryville, Cypress Inn and Lutts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
