Flash Flood Warning issued June 12 at 2:20PM CDT until June 12 at 3:00PM CDT by NWS Memphis TN At 220 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Millington, Cordova, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington, Ellendale, Frayser, Midtown Memphis, Eads, Downtown Memphis, Elmore Park, Spring Lake, Raleigh, White Station, Lucy, Brunswick and Lenow. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
