Neches River At Rockland affecting Polk, Angelina, Jasper and Tyler Counties. Neches River Near Diboll affecting Polk, Angelina, Tyler, Trinity and Houston Counties. Neches River Near Alto affecting Trinity, Houston, Cherokee and Anderson Counties. Neches River Near Neches affecting Houston, Cherokee and Anderson Counties. For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neches River near Alto. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Preparations should be completed for a moderate flood. Barns and farm buildings near the river will be threatened by high water. In addition, ranchers should have completed moving cattle and equipment to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 18.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM CDT Monday was 18.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.8 feet on 11/13/1946. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
