Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued May 13 at 1:00PM CDT until May 13 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX The National Weather Service has issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch 237 in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening for the following areas In Texas this watch includes 20 counties In south central Texas Jackson In southeast Texas Austin Brazoria Brazos Burleson Chambers Colorado Fort Bend Galveston Grimes Harris Liberty Matagorda Montgomery Polk San Jacinto Walker Waller Washington Wharton This includes the cities of Alvin, Anahuac, Angleton, Bay City, Bellville, Brenham, Brookshire, Bryan, Caldwell, Cleveland, Clute, Coldspring, College Station, Columbus, Conroe, Corrigan, Dayton, Dickinson, Eagle Lake, Edna, El Campo, First Colony, Freeport, Friendswood, Galveston, Ganado, Hempstead, Houston, Huntsville, Lake Jackson, League City, Liberty, Livingston, Mission Bend, Missouri City, Mont Belvieu, Navasota, Old River-Winfree, Palacios, Pearland, Pecan Grove, Prairie View, Rosenberg, Sealy, Shepherd, Somerville, Stowell, Sugar Land, Texas City, The Woodlands, Waller, Weimar, Wharton, and Winnie.

Flood Advisory issued May 13 at 2:06PM CDT until May 13 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Harris, Liberty and Waller. * WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 206 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pasadena, Pearland, Sugar Land, Baytown, Missouri City, Deer Park, Rosenberg, Stafford, South Houston, Bellaire, Humble, West University Place, Katy, Richmond, Galena Park, Jacinto City, Jersey Village, northwestern Manvel, Hunters Creek Village and Bunker Hill Village. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
