Central McLennan County in central Texas... * Until 1230 AM CDT. * At 948 PM CDT, emergency management reported countless roads still flooded within the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring and will continue for several hours before flood waters recede. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Waco, Hewitt, Robinson, Bellmead, Woodway, Lacy-Lakeview, McGregor, Beverly Hills, Riesel, Crawford, Hallsburg, Lake Waco, Northcrest, Lake Creek Lake, Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir, Willow Grove, Downsville, Spring Valley, Elm Mott and Axtell. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

In northeast Texas, Anderson and Leon. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms may result in widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches in a short period of time.
