Flash Flood Warning issued May 12 at 10:55AM CDT until May 12 at 1:15PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX At 1055 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Killeen, Waco, Temple, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Belton, Hewitt, Robinson, Woodway, Marlin, McGregor, Groesbeck, Fort Cavazos, Nolanville, Morgan's Point Resort, Mart, Salado, Beverly Hills, Little River-Academy and Lorena. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

In northeast Texas, Anderson, Henderson, Leon and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 4 inches.
