Flash Flood Warning issued June 14 at 9:14PM CDT until June 14 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX At 914 PM CDT, the public flooding in and around Athens. Flash flooding is already occurring. Rainfall rates are starting to come down, which will help improve the ongoing flash flooding, but light to moderate rain is expected to continue for at least the next hour or so. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Athens, Malakoff, Trinidad, Caney City, Coon Creek Lake, Forest Grove Reservoir, Trinidad Lake, Cross Roads, Log Cabin, Star Harbor, Crescent Heights, Cayuga, Bethel and Yard. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

In northeast Texas, Henderson. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms may result in widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches in a short period of time. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 915 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Corsicana, Athens, Chandler, Malakoff, Kerens, Frankston, Brownsboro, Berryville, Trinidad, Enchanted Oaks, Caney City, Navarro, Coon Creek Lake, Forest Grove Reservoir, Trinidad Lake, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Richland-Chambers Reservoir.
