Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 5:42PM CDT until June 8 at 6:45PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of Bexar County. * WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 539 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible over the area. Rain amounts are decreasing, but residual minor flooding remains possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Antonio, Stinson Municipal Airport, San Antonio Int Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, Shavano Park, Cross Mountain, Olmos Park, Elmendorf, China Grove, Lackland AFB, Sea World, The Dominion, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Leon Springs and Castle Hills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
