Central Henderson County in central Texas... Navarro County in north central Texas... * Until 1100 AM CDT. * At 759 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Corsicana, Athens, Gun Barrel City, Mabank, Malakoff, Tool, Kerens, Eustace, Trinidad, Dawson, Angus, Enchanted Oaks, Caney City, Navarro, Richland-Chambers Reservoir, Trinidad Lake, Lake Halbert, Flag Lake, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Forest Grove Reservoir. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Northeastern Navarro County in north central Texas... Southwestern Van Zandt County in north central Texas... * WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 609 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Athens, Gun Barrel City, Canton, Mabank, Malakoff, Tool, Kerens, Eustace, Trinidad, Enchanted Oaks, Caney City, Forest Grove Reservoir, Cedar Creek Reservoir, Purtis Creek State Park, Trinidad Lake, Flag Lake, Richland-Chambers Reservoir, Payne Springs and Log Cabin. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
