Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 10 at 12:33PM CDT until June 10 at 1:15PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL At 1233 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Temple Hill to near Malone, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Dubuque, Clinton, Maquoketa, DeWitt, Camanche, Asbury, Bellevue, Cascade, East Dubuque, Peosta, Preston, Wheatland, Grand Mound, Sabula, Delmar, Lost Nation, Miles, Calamus, Andrew, and Charlotte. This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread wind damage across Jackson, Dubuque and Clinton Counties. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Flood Watch issued June 10 at 10:58AM CDT until June 11 at 11:00AM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bureau, Hancock, Henderson, Henry IL, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, Warren and Whiteside, Iowa, including the following areas, Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry IA, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren and Washington, and northeast Missouri, including the following areas, Clark and Scotland. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of heavy rain producing thunderstorms are expected through Thursday morning across the watch area. The storms may be slow moving or redeveloping over the same areas resulting in torrential rainfall and possibly several inches of rain by Thursday morning. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
