Iowa River at Marengo affecting Benton and Iowa Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water breaches the mill race dikes near Middle Amana. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.4 feet tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
