Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 12.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The river continues to rise. - Forecast...The river will rise to 13.1 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall Friday evening. It will rise to 13.1 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall again but remain above major flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
