Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.0 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river will rise to 13.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall early Saturday afternoon. It will rise to 13.3 feet Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again but remain above flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Thursday morning at 900 AM CDT.
