Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Sioux River at Cherokee. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Cherokee city park begins to flood on the south bank of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 PM CDT Thursday was 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8 feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
