Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until late Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 9.3 feet Wednesday, June 12. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 815 PM CDT.
