For the Vermilion River (Illinois Basin)...including Leonore...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Vermilion River from IL23 near Streator downstream to confluence with the Illinois River, including the Leonore gauge. * WHEN...Until Sunday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to begin a slow fall overnight tonight. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
