Flood Watch issued June 16 at 1:32PM CDT until June 17 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following counties, Cuming, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston and Wayne. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Recent heavy rainfall has led to saturated soils across the watch area. Additional rainfall this evening and overnight could lead to flash flooding in some locations. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
