Flood Warning issued June 23 at 8:15PM CDT until June 24 at 5:30AM CDT by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of central and east central Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska, Merrick. In east central Nebraska, Polk. * WHEN...Until 530 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 813 PM CDT, gauge reports indicated continued elevated stream levels on the Silver Creek, Prairie Creek, and Clear Creek. This is a result of runoff from thunderstorms that produced 3 and 6 inches of rain Friday night. Clear Creek near Shelby appears to have reached a crest of 8.24 feet at 1245 PM CDT, but will take several hours to recede. Minor flood state at the Clear Creek gauge near Shelby is 7.5 feet. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
