Flash Flood Warning issued June 20 at 10:02PM CDT until June 21 at 1:15AM CDT by NWS North Platte NE FFWLBF The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Central Holt County in north central Nebraska... * Until 115 AM CDT. * At 1002 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... O'Neill, Atkinson and Emmet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flood Advisory issued June 20 at 9:49PM CDT until June 21 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS North Platte NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including the following county, Holt. * WHEN...Until 400 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 949 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Special Weather Statement issued June 20 at 9:43PM CDT by NWS North Platte NE At 943 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near O'Neill, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... O'Neill, Page, and Inman. This includes the following highways... Highway 20 between mile markers 301 and 317. Highway 281 between mile markers 175 and 189. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for north central Nebraska.
