Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 30 at 12:16AM CDT until June 30 at 12:45AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE At 1214 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Hadar to near Hoskins to 5 miles northwest of Stanton to 7 miles east of Madison, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Public. Numerous personal weather stations have reported gusts of 60 to 70 mph. Ping pong ball size hail was reported in Norfolk at 1213 am. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe storms will be near... Stanton and Winside around 1220 AM CDT. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Pilger, Wayne, Wisner and Wakefield. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These are dangerous storms, producing large hail driven by severe winds! SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! If you are caught outdoors, cover your head and neck. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
