Air Quality Alert issued July 18 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH An Air Quality Advisory for ground level fine particles has been issued by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory is from midnight tonight to midnight Sunday night. Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. If you are in the sensitive groups category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings at airnow.gov. Additionally, sign-up at enviroflash.info for text alerts regarding air quality. Beach Hazards Statement issued July 18 at 3:48PM EDT until July 19 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH * WHAT...High risk of rip currents expected. * WHERE...Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties. * WHEN...From 10 AM EDT this morning through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
